Can you offer one of these parrots a forever home? We try our hardest to match you, and your family, with the right parrot, which will be based on their needs, and yours, so that you can all have a fantastic life together.
Please read all the information on our Rehoming Information Page before you begin and be patient whilst we process your application. Thank you.
Jo Jo – African Grey – 780312
Hello, my name is Jo Jo, I am a happy little bird who likes to do my own thing. I am not noisy although I can whistle. I can talk but do not do it often. I say the occasional thing but my safehouse mum cannot quite make out what I say.
I would like a home that is not too busy. I like to come out of my cage when I like. I need to be able to fly as I have a deformed foot and have difficulty walking. I can get around my cage OK and spend a lot of time upside down hanging on by the tips of my nails. I can also walk on the top of my cage where I like to spend my time chewing on the cardboard boxes my safehouse mum puts there for me.
I like to be allowed to fly to the top of a door or cupboard where I will spend most of the day chewing my boxes or some wooden toys. I will fly back to my cage when I want to. If I do not quite make it and land on the floor my safehouse mum will pick me up by placing her hands over my back and wings. As you can tell I am an easy-going bird who just needs some loving and a little bit of attention.
So please apply for me, you will not regret it.
Sponsor a Bird
Sadly, many birds come to Birdline with long term medical issues. Please consider supporting one of Birdline’s birds who need extra support from the charity and their safehouse or foster to ensure they can live their best life.
