Hi everyone! My name is Choppy, and I'm a beautiful Hahn's Macaw looking for my forever home.

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I currently live with my safehouse family, and I'm a very easygoing bird. I'm perfectly content playing with my toys all day and watching the world go by from my window. My cage door is open most of the day, but I prefer to stay close to my toys, occasionally popping out to sit on top of my cage. I’m not destructive and don’t have any health problems.

I have a few quirks: I don’t like being touched inside my cage, but once I’m out, I enjoy a little tickle—just please avoid my head. When I'm not happy, I rock back and forth and pretend to bite, but don't worry, I haven't bitten anyone here yet.

I get along with both men and women, though I seem to prefer females a bit more. I'm used to being around children; while my safehouse parents don’t let them touch me, I love dancing with them and watching them play. I also share my space with four other birds. I don't interact with them much, but I don’t mind their company. My safehouse family isn't sure if I can fly since I haven't tried it yet.

I am used to dogs being around when I am in my cage.  Living with them has taught me some new tricks—I’ve picked up barking and making puppy crying sounds to fit in! I can also talk and love saying "hello," "what you doing," and making kissing noises. Bathing is a blast for me, especially when the vacuum is on—I love splashing in my water bowl!

My routine is very important to me. I go to sleep at 9:30 PM in my little tent, and I make sure you know it’s time to cover my cage. I wake up around 8 AM, but I’m very quiet and usually busy playing with my toys. I enjoy AS30 seeds, and while I do like fruits and veggies, sometimes I eat them all, and other times I toss them on the floor.

I don't come with a cage, so I'm hoping my new home will provide me with a beautiful one filled with lots of toys.
