Hello Everyone!

My name is Muffin, and I’m a sweet and adorable 15-year-old Pineapple Green Cheek Conure in search of my forever home! Despite my age, I have plenty of love and energy to share. I’m looking for a family that can give me lots of attention and affection, and I promise to return all that love tenfold.

I joined Birdline a few years ago after losing my cage partner, which made me very lonely. Fortunately, I found a best friend in an African Grey at my current safehouse. I need a home with other birds because I get stressed and lonely when I’m by myself. It doesn’t matter what kind of birds, as long as I can see them from my cage. I’m very self-sufficient and happy to chat and play all day with my feathered friends.

I’m very sociable and love to be the centre of attention. I have a lively personality and will let you know when it’s time for bed or when I’m awake with a little high-pitched screech. I’m not a loud bird, though I do have a few high-pitched outbursts when I want food or attention.  After my morning and evening routines, I’m a calm and quiet bird who enjoys watching the world around me. I like to come out of my cage on my own terms, so just leave the door open, and I’ll come out to explore when I’m ready. I’m a bit scared of hands but will step up onto cushions. It might take me a while to get used to a new environment, so I need someone patient to help me feel secure.

My safehouse mum says I’m a chatterbox and love to say, "Give me a kiss." I talk a lot, but you’ll need to listen carefully because I speak very fast.  I also love dance parties with my African Grey buddy and enjoy singing, dancing, and playing music with my safehouse mum.  I’m not destructive and love chewable perches, which keep me from nibbling on your furniture.

I absolutely love my food! I enjoy veggies, fruits, seeds, and I get especially excited for sweetcorn and walnuts as treats. I can be a bit territorial around my food, so it’s best to be patient and quick, and I’ll be happy once I see more food coming.

I would love a home where I can be with other birds, preferably in a calmer household with maybe older children. I’m happy with both males and females and don’t mind if you work, as long as there’s enough liveliness for me to join in and other birds to keep me company.
