Hello, my name is pigeon, I’m a 19-year-old Senegal parrot.

When I arrived at my safehouse I was a bit timid but I have now made friends with the teenage boy here. I will let him stroke me and I like to say Hello to him. I am happy to be left on my own if my owner works part time but also enjoy company.

I don’t like to come out my cage much, but with time I will get used to my surroundings and enjoy exploring. I have not been in my safehouse very long so its early days. I’m very quiet except when there are big scary birds outside the window. I like fruit, veg and chop they are very tasty, and I enjoy tucking into them. I don’t like that thing you people call bathing, but I know it has to be done.

I would like a foster home where I can be interacted with, but also get some quiet time to myself. Do you have a teenage lad who lives with you? Can you offer me a home?
