Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I am a 10 year old Quaker Parrot. I have been with my safehouse mum for just over 3 months after coming back to Birdline from a different safehouse, through no fault of my own.

I am a lovely boy and decided that I loved my safehouse mum within a few hours of being with her, all I want to do is sit on her shoulder and go wherever she does, I'm not fussy what she is doing I just want to be close to her.

Unfortunately she has other birds to take care of and I get a bit jealous if I think she is spending too long giving attention to any of them. When she spends time with them, I scream until she returns her focus to me. Therefore, my safehouse mum thinks it would be amazing to find a new mum or dad where more time could be spent on me alone.

I can fly really well but don’t tend to do it much; usually I just fly to my safehouse mums shoulder. I have only spoken a few times since being here and all I have said is "come on then".

I love all food and do have a seed mix but my favourite food ever is chop, made with lots and lots of raw veggies, especially sweetcorn.

I really am a lovely boy and I promise if you give me the chance I will reward you with all of my love.
