Baby is a fiery-shouldered conure with the sweetest nature and the biggest personality packed into her tiny body. Life with Baby is never dull, and she has a wonderful way of making us smile with her cheeky little antics.

She blows kisses, makes squeaky clean noises, says her own name and calls out “birdie” whenever she wants attention. She even quacks like a duck - and to this day, we have absolutely no idea where she learned that one! She also loves to tell us off when things are not done her way or to laugh at our mishaps. These little quirks are just some of the countless things that make her so special and well loved.

Sadly, Baby's journey hasn't been without its challenges. She has been diagnosed with avian bornavirus (ABV) and suffers from frequent seizures, sometimes experiencing multiple episodes in a single week. Watching her go through these episodes is heartbreaking, especially knowing how much they can affect her afterwards.

Managing her condition requires ongoing veterinary care, five different medications three times a day, monitoring and making adjustments to help give her the best possible quality of life. Every step of her treatment is important, and we want to do everything we can to keep her comfortable, happy and able to enjoy the life she deserves.

Unfortunately, Baby's insurance decided to stop covering neurological issues, leaving us facing the ongoing costs of her treatment without that financial support. This makes fundraising more important than ever as we do our best to ensure she continues to receive the care she needs.
