Hello, My name is Barney. I’m a male Umbrella Cockatoo who loves all the attention, I have a lot of love to give. My Safehouse mum was told I’m about 30 years young. I like to dance, whistle & screech loudly at times (but as far as my U2 character goes, I’m a lot calmer than those screaming U2s other qwners get put off by). I think I prefer the ladies although I lived with a man and loved playing with his son. and will often get a bit frisky when feeling hormonal – Please don’t stroke under my wings, As I’ll start panting like a dog. I love head & neck scratches, cuddles under clothing and blankets, I will happily ride on your shoulder throughout the house. Some time in my life, I’ve had a bad wing clip, which means I can’t fly (Some of my feathers are damaged). But, I do Hop around and flap my wings as if I’m about to take off.

I can say “Hello.” I’m looking for either a family with older children, or a single owner (with no other birds) to foster me. I don’t get on with other parrots, but I am tolerant of cats and dogs.

I am a really friendly bird, and will settle very quickly into my new home, just as I did with my Safehouse mum, dad and their kids.
