Hello! My name is Edna, and I am a beautiful Hill Mynah bird looking for a very special new home. I have a bit of a sad story.. my dad passed away at the end of last year, and because my mum has had to go back to work, I’m spending much more time alone than I’m used to. Before, I always had my dad for company, so my mum has made the difficult decision to find me a new family where I can get all the interaction and stimulation I truly deserve.

I am an incredibly clever bird and a total entertainer! I love to shout people's names, whistle, and imitate all the interesting sounds I hear around the house. I’m a big fan of music, too! I love listening to the radio and especially enjoy it when my mum plays the piano. If you whistle a tune to me, I’ll do my very best to copy it right back, and I’m excellent at joining in on your conversations.

One of the highlights of my day is bath time. I absolutely love splashing around in warm water! I usually whistle the whole time I’m in there, which my mum says is just like a human singing in the shower! When I'm in my cage, I stay busy with my favorite toys and love to spend time swinging and chatting away. I really am a joy to listen to and will keep my new family very amused.

Because I’ve had some big changes in my life recently, I can be a little nervous at first. Sometimes I might nip if I get scared, but I don’t mean any harm, I’m just a little unsure. I am looking for a patient, experienced owner who can help me feel safe. I’m sure that once I get to know you and settle in, I’ll be happy to sit on your hand and enjoy some gentle head strokes.
